The Murlidhar Krishna Temple, situated in Thaava just 3 kilometers from Naggar, is an important religious site in Himachal Pradesh. This historic temple, dedicated to Radha and Krishna, is known for its stunning wooden architecture in the Shikara style, which looks like a pagoda. The design of the temple includes detailed carvings from the Gupta Era. Initially, the temple did not have an idol of Radha, leading to the belief that Lord Krishna’s presence was not fully felt. However, after the installation of Radha’s idol, the temple’s spiritual atmosphere became stronger. Despite severe damage from the 1905 earthquake, the Murlidhar Krishna Temple in Naggar was rebuilt and still retains its historical allure.
